Hi my name is Steve Whitworth and I am the owner of Whole Home Services, an independently owned and operated small business in Alberta, Canada.

My background was as an Information Technology specialist in both the private and public sectors for 25 years. I decided to retire in 2020 to pursue other interests which included living in the Philippines for three years with my wife and children.

Over the years, I have done many maintenance and renovation jobs on the houses that I’ve owned as well as helping out family and friends. My last major project was renovating a house in 2021-2022 that was gutted down to the studs. This included framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation, dry wall, mudding, painting, flooring, new exterior doors, toilet and sink, kitchen cabinets, taps, hot water tank and pellet stove installation. It was a tremendous undertaking but a valuable learning experience.

I took my skills with me to the Philippines where my wife and I renovated a home we bought which included a complete bathroom extension, tiling, ceilings, electrical, plumbing and fixing a porch roof. You can see some of my renovation videos on my YouTube channel.

You could say that I have learned a lot about renovating and maintaining homes over the years on different sides of the world and it is for this reason that I decided to start a small business of my own to help other home owners with their small scale projects.
